What a month it’s been so far! Apologies that it has been so long since the last post, but then…so much has happened.
Our pastor and his wife have returned from the Philippines, where they were meeting with the Jubilee cluster of churches, and one of our Church family has also returned from being on a medical mission. Soon she’ll be showing some photos and video of her time there; exciting!
The cover photo for this post was taken at the end of our youth mission week. In the October half-term week, we joined forces with the youth group from Jubilee, our resource church in Maidstone, Kent, and spent a week working in the community with them, and spending some good social time too. It was a privilege to watch our youth group work so hard and so selflessly in both Maidstone and Falmouth.
There’s a clothes swap happening this week (Wednesday, 7.30pm-9.30pm Highway Community Centre), and yesterday evening an Andre Rieu waltzing party went down very well. For those thinking about next year’s general election, Highway is also one of the polling stations for Penryn. The paperwork was filled in and sent off today, so watch this space.
A date for the diary; the Christmas Eve carol service is happening at Highway Community Centre, at 5.30pm, and it looks to be a real occasion. It’s open to all ages, so bring everyone!
