Hi there Highway fans,

As October comes to a close, there’s no let up! We’ve a couple of exciting events coming up. Sunday is our Deeper Worship session at Highway Community Centre, and on Monday, there is the Kings’ Ball. This is our Halloween alternative, and there will be three parties throughout the day for the different age ranges. The header image for this post is the poster for this year’s ball.

The Foodbank have continued their amazing work, and Helping Hands have been working in a women’s sheltered housing facility. Acorns had a quieter week than the recent busy times, as they often do at half term, but still sold plenty of coffee and cake! ColourRiot have also had an interesting couple of weeks, and continue their amazing creative therapeutic work. Our youth have been active too, helping host a quiz to raise money for the Foodbank, as well as going out and about on a photo scavenger hunt. One of our youth used Highway Community Centre to throw anĀ open-invite birthday party to raise awareness of the Youth Cafe. Tonight they’re having a more relaxed evening baking. It’s so encouraging to see the enthusiasm of some of the youngest members of our community.

For more information on any of these organisations and events, check out their pages on this website.

Have great weeks, and hope to see you soon,

The Highway Team
