We meet together at 10.30am on Sunday mornings
at Highway Community Centre

We call our Sunday gatherings ‘Celebration’. It’s an opportunity to come together once a week as a Church family, worship our Creator, and celebrate and share all that has happened during the week.

We open our doors from 10.30am with tea, coffee and breakfast bites at the ready. Our service then starts at 10.45am: with a time of contemporary sung worship, with a mix of more modern worship music and older hymns, then we share a biblical message, and finally offer prayer ministry to anyone who would like it with our Prayer Ministry Team. After our service we tend to offer more tea and coffee with an opportunity to stay and chat.

ADOPT a student

We want to help students feel at home in your time here in Cornwall. Every student is invited to become a part of a family within the church for the duration of their studies. We know how much a homely hot meal and a sofa to relax on can be missed!

Welcome everyone

As the summer holidays have come to an end, schools, colleges and universities start a new academic year, giving students an opportunity to make new beginnings and discoveries in their studies - We can all make new beginnings and discoveries too!

Maybe this can prompt us to take the opportunity to make new beginnings and discoveries in our relationship with God?!

In Mark’s account of the life of Jesus, people were bringing young children to Jesus for him to bless them. His disciples tried to send them away, but Jesus told them, “let the little children come to me….I tell you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, will never enter it.”

So, what is the kingdom of God? We can think of kingdoms as countries, but the kingdom of God is not a place- it is made up of everyone and anyone, who choose to have God as their king.

Is it hard to enter it? Well- yes and no! Some people will see it, but decide it’s not for them - they are content to be self sufficient. Others see it and want to enter, but over complicate things. How do young children see things? They trust their parents- and this is the key to entering the kingdom of God. Jesus calls his followers to be childlike in their trust - not childish, but childlike. One verse in the Bible, written by John,  sums it up - “To all who received Jesus, who believed in His name, he gave the power to become children of God.”

We can ALL enter into this direct, personal relationship with God. All we have to do is believe and trust in Jesus.

So is now the time for new beginnings, or new discoveries with God?

You are welcome with us and we would love to meet you!  - Harvey and Jo

Anyone is welcome to join us. But we get it, being new to a church, getting to know new people, or getting involved in your local community can be a little daunting! So what would you like to know?
